Lincat, the UK’s leading manufacturer of prime cooking equipment, is set to launch its new Convector series of powerful, feature-packed convection ovens at Commercial Kitchen: NEC, Birmingham, 4-5 June, Stand: H45.
The new Convector ovens feature two-speed, bi-directional fans for supremely even, controlled cooking, and have been designed from scratch to meet customer needs. There are three new models to choose from – each available with either Touch or Manual+ control – making six new ovens in total.
Touch models are operated by an intuitive touchscreen to deliver a broader range of cooking options, with more sophisticated control. They are also equipped with a five-level humidity feature to add moisture into the cooking cabinet, and an individual nine-hour timer for each shelf.
The new ovens will be manufactured here in the UK at Lincat’s purpose-built manufacturing facilities in Lincoln. This will result in reliable quality and excellent availability as Chris Jones, Lincat’s Managing Director explains…
“Designing and manufacturing our own equipment here in the UK means that our customers don’t have to worry about quality, Brexit-related price uncertainty or extended delivery times. We are really excited therefore to bring this innovative and powerful new range of convector ovens to market and have high hopes that they will become firm Lincat favourites.”
Each of the new ovens offers timed cooking, with accurate temperature control. At the end of the cooking cycle a buzzer sounds, and flashing ‘ready’ lights illuminate the whole cabinet until the door is opened. Touch models can be operated in three easy-to-use modes – manual, shelf timer or phased – as Paul Hickman, Lincat’s Culinary Development Manager, explains…
“The ‘phased’ option allows you to programme up to four cooking stages or ‘phases’. Individual temperatures, humidity levels, fan speeds and times can be assigned to each. As such they will be perfect for baking, bake-off, roasting, braising and reheating in a wide range of settings, from restaurants and retail outlets, to butchers’ shops and garden centres.
“The two-speed, bi-directional fan is a fantastic feature on both the Manual+ and Touch Convectors. Not only does it ensure even heat distribution and therefore consistent results throughout the cabinet, but its slow speed is ideal for delicate items such as meringue or choux pastry. Users will find it really does make all the difference.”
The smallest of Lincat’s new Convector range is the 3kW, three-shelf CO133, which has a drop-down door and takes 2/3 gastronorms. The largest, in terms of cooking capacity, is the 4.8kW CO235, which takes 1/1 gastronorms on three shelves and has a drop-down door. They will be available through Lincat’s nationwide network of distributors from the end of July.
Each is supplied in the UK with a comprehensive parts and labour warranty.
