A team of charity walkers, who work for catering equipment manufacturer Lincat, based in North Hykeham, Lincoln, are planning a sponsored ‘Wear a Wig Walk’ to raise funds for Admiral Nurses at Dementia UK.
The seven-mile walk, which will take approximately three hours to complete, will start at the Lincat factory on Saturday 3rd October at 10.00am. Lincat team members Willie Watters, Lisa Cotton, Denise Knott and Rachel Mable have arranged the event.
Denise, said…
“Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease which has a huge impact not only on the person affected, but on their friends and family, too. It’s also a growing problem as our population ages.
“That’s why have decided to do another walk, this time supporting the work of the Admiral Nurses. We hope that, as many colleagues as possible, together with their friends and families, will join our campaign.
“We have also extended the invite to the businesses around us here on Whisby Road, and invite anyone else to join in, too. Our aim is to raise as much money as we possibly can for this worthwhile cause.”
