Lincat grabs the ‘grab and go’ market
Lincat has added two new heated merchandisers to its Seal range. The units have been developed in response to requests from two of their national account partners.
Where counter space is at a premium, these compact models at 400mm and 500mm wide are perfect for cafes, supermarkets and convenience stores wanting to display hot food to generate grab and go sales.
Helen Applewhite, Marketing Manager for IMC and Lincat brands, said:
“We’ve developed the HAD40 and HAD50 following feedback from two of our national account partners. As part of our development process we also conducted are own extensive research and found a real gap in the market, so it’s exciting to see them launch.
“The merchandisers are ideal for all sorts of pre-cooked hot foods, including pizzas, pies and sausage rolls. Food is displayed on four ‘easy to remove’ tilted shelves within the two compartments and lighting provides a bright interior to ensure food is visually appealing to the customer. Stainless steel point of sale holders at the front of each shelf enable the store to add their own branding as well as details as to what is on the shelf and of course the price.
“The merchandisers use a convected hot air system which ensures food is not only safe but also kept in prime condition at the right temperature with accurate +/-1C electronic control. A hot air ‘curtain’ at the front minimises heat loss and maximises energy efficiency. The temperature can be set in one degree increments between 65C and 70C, the best range for holding food.”
The HAD40 at 400mm wide and the HAD50 at 500mm wide have been designed to fit on a standard store counters. Both models are 585mm deep and 845mm high and plug into a standard 13 Amp socket so require no installation.
A hygienic stainless steel construction, toughened glass sides and non-slip feet make the merchandisers robust and easy to clean for front of house application.
