Lincat, the UK’s leading manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, has appointed Jon White as Technical Director to succeed Eric Wintersgill who will be retiring at the end of the year after 28 years with the company. Jon will join Lincat in October to ensure an orderly transition.
An experienced chartered engineer, Jon’s career to date has been spent in the domestic appliances and aerospace sectors, leading multi-site teams in the design and development of new products and equipment. He will bring this experience to his new role as leader of Lincat’s research and development team.
Nick McDonald, Managing Director of Lincat, said…
“Lincat’s R&D function has, to a great extent, set us apart from other manufacturers and been a cornerstone of our success over the years. Our relentless focus on developing innovative new equipment for our portfolio and improving the performance of existing products has helped us grow year on year. The role of Technical Director is therefore crucial.
He continued…
“We are delighted therefore to welcome Jon to the team. I believe that he will bring new ideas and processes to help us to do even better in this area, and that he has all the skills and experience necessary to take over from Eric when he leaves us at the end of the year.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Eric for his loyal and dedicated contribution to Lincat’s growth and prosperity. Eric has also made a valuable contribution to the wider catering equipment industry, having served for many years on the Technical Committee of CESA. Thank you Eric, we wish you a long and happy retirement!”
Having been based in the Isle of Man for the past seven years, Jon will be relocating to Lincolnshire for his new role, which will be based at Lincat’s factory in Lincoln. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his young family.
