A modular approach to high-performance bar design

IMC has announced the launch of the Optimum Underbar System, a premium modular bar solution engineered to help hospitality operators create faster, more efficient and better organised workspaces.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the new range has been developed around one simple principle: improving workflow. Every module has been engineered as part of a fully integrated system, reducing unnecessary staff movement, improving ergonomics and enabling bartenders to deliver faster, more consistent service.

Suitable for everything from cocktail bars and hotels to pubs, restaurants, stadiums and entertainment venues, Optimum enables operators, consultants and designers to configure bespoke underbar layouts that maximise available space while supporting future expansion or refurbishment.

The comprehensive range includes sink units, hand wash stations, glass refresher stations, insulated ice wells, cocktail stations, shelving, till stations and bridge tops, all designed to integrate seamlessly into a cohesive, high-performance workspace.

Manufactured from premium stainless steel, Optimum has been built to withstand the demands of busy commercial environments, combining outstanding durability with excellent hygiene and ease of cleaning. Units are supplied with height-adjustable feet for precise on-site levelling and bolt together to create a continuous, seamless work surface.

Available in two formats, Optimum (800mm working height, 505mm depth) and Optimum+ (900mm working height, 600mm depth), the system provides flexibility for different operators, applications and service styles.

To support the fast pace of today’s hospitality sector, every Optimum system is manufactured to order in the UK with a standard lead time of just three weeks from receipt of order. This agile approach enables consultants, contractors and operators to keep refurbishment projects, new openings and replacement installations on schedule, while still benefiting from a bespoke underbar solution tailored to their exact requirements.

Neil Coombes, Director at IMC, commented:

“The bar is one of the busiest areas in any hospitality venue, so every movement counts. Optimum has been designed as a complete system rather than a collection of individual units, allowing operators to create workspaces that improve efficiency, support staff and enhance the speed and consistency of service. By manufacturing every system to order, we’re also able to offer customers the flexibility they need, backed by a rapid three-week lead time. Whether it’s a new venue or a refurbishment, Optimum helps operators keep projects moving while delivering a bespoke solution designed around their workflow.”

With more than 30 years of bar system expertise behind its development, Optimum has been engineered to evolve with changing operational needs. Its modular design allows layouts to be reconfigured or expanded over time, protecting investment while maintaining a professional, integrated appearance.

Supplied with a two-year warranty as standard, Optimum offers consultants, designers and operators a robust, future-proof solution for creating smarter, more productive commercial bars.
