New rooftop solar installation to generate 26% of the electricity used at Lincat’s Lincoln manufacturing facility
Lincat has taken another major step towards a more sustainable future with the completion of a significant rooftop solar installation at its manufacturing headquarters in Lincoln.
The new solar photovoltaic (PV) system will generate approximately 26% of the site’s annual electricity requirements, reducing reliance on grid electricity and making a substantial contribution towards lowering the company’s carbon emissions. The remaining electricity required by the Lincoln manufacturing facility is sourced from 100% renewable electricity tariffs, meaning the site is powered entirely by renewable energy.
The investment reinforces Lincat’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and forms part of a wider sustainability strategy focused on reducing environmental impact whilst continuing to invest in British manufacturing.
