Lincat sprints ahead with energy saving salamander

Lincat has unveiled its latest innovation, the Silverlink Eco Electric Salamander Grill (SGE1), boasting a remarkable 50% reduction in energy consumption compared to their popular Silverlink GR3 Salamander grill, all without compromising on performance.

“Salamanders play a critical role in kitchen operations but tend to remain at full power for up to 12-15 hours daily despite being actively used for only 2-3 hours. This inefficiency not only wastes electricity but also accelerates the aging of grill components and contributes to excess heat in the kitchen environment.

“In response to these challenges presented by key customers, Lincat prioritised energy efficiency while ensuring that the SGE1 exceeds the performance of the GR3 salamander. Through extensive development work, the Research and Development team devised a ‘jog to sprint’ concept.

“Rather than fully powering off and cooling down when idle, the grill enters a low-power sleep mode, conserving energy while keeping the cavity warm. When needed, it swiftly transitions into boost mode, ready for immediate use with the simple press of a button.”

Trials with key customers have proven highly successful, leading to widespread adoption of the SGE1, underscoring its exceptional reception and proven cost savings. This innovation not only represents a leap forward in smart cooking technology but also enhances the working environment for kitchen staff, reducing ventilation and air conditioning requirements and safeguarding component longevity.

Features include smart and efficient heating elements, as well as a removable toasting rack, and crumb tray for effortless cleaning.

Accessories available for the SGE1 include a space saving wall bracket or for kitchens with more space a bench stand, or floor stand.

Manufactured in a purpose-built facility in Lincoln, UK, the SGE1 assures UK customers of minimal carbon footprint, aligning with Lincat’s commitment to sustainability. Furthermore, the grill comes with a comprehensive UK two-year onsite parts and labour warranty.
