To support catering outlets, such as pubs, restaurants and cafés, who are moving to a takeaway offer as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, Lincat has developed a ‘mix and match’ package of light-duty, cost-effective equipment to help them deliver new menus as quickly as possible.

Caterers can choose from a range of compact, countertop items including a convection oven, fryer, pizza oven, contact grill, bain marie and hot cupboard – all of which can be delivered in 24 hours and with minimal investment.

The items all operate from a 13-amp plug, meaning users can simply plug in and play. As with all Lincat equipment, they are supplied with a two-year on-site parts and labour warranty, with next-day availability of spare parts. If a piece of equipment does need repairing, it can be done quickly and easily by service engineers, minimising downtime and inconvenience.

In addition, Lincat is offering culinary support to outlets looking to diversify through its new Chef-line telephone service.

Paul Hickman, Middleby Culinary UK Director, said:

“In order to survive the economic impact of the coronavirus, pubs, restaurants and cafés are having to diversify – with many converting their outlets to takeaway and delivery services as soon as they can.

“We understand this may be completely new territory for some, which is why we wanted to highlight some of the key, core pieces of equipment, which they can mix and match, to get up and running. Our selection enables caterers to do this in 24 hours, with minimal investment and space, as the equipment offers high output from a small footprint.”

The Lynx 400 LCO/T convection oven has a temperature range of 50°C to 250°C and a powerful 2.5kW fan-assisted oven that delivers consistent, even results. It is ideal for cooking light lunch items such as jacket potatoes.

The small Lynx 400 LDF general purpose fryer has thermostatic control to produce perfect pub grub such as chips, chicken nuggets and battered fish, whilst the multi-functional LDPO pizza oven can help caterers create authentic-tasting pizzas, as well as lasagne, toasties and garlic bread.

From burgers to paninis, our Lynx 400 contact grills provide fast heat-up times, so you can deliver high output to drive profits.

Our LBM2 bain marie can hold soup, baked beans and jacket potato fillings, whilst our PLH60 hot cupboard can keep food, such as pizzas, at safe, optimum serving temperature until it’s ready to be taken away.

Our website is open for orders 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Orders placed before 5pm are eligible for next-day delivery.
