Lincat’s new UK Sales Director takes up the reins
Rob Gibson, Lincat’s UK Sales Director Designate, has taken up his new role this month following the retirement, at Christmas, of his predecessor, Tony Aston.
As UK Sales Director, Rob will assume full responsibility for Lincat’s UK sales function. This will include managing the growth of the UK sales team and helping to support its network of distributors, as well as working with Lincat’s marketing team to build brand awareness and promote customer loyalty.
“In a sector that can be obsessed with price, it’s important that we continue to set ourselves apart by adding ever greater value for our customers,” said Rob.
“This is why, at the start of 2015, we decided to reorganise our regional sales teams and recruit another two members of field sales staff, to ensure more comprehensive coverage across the UK. We have also appointed sales office supervisor Matthew Sanders to further improve customer service, which is a clear priority in my new role.”
Rob, who joined Lincat in 1999, has spent his full career in the catering industry. After leaving Birmingham College of Food & Domestic Arts with a Diploma in Hotel Catering and Management, Rob’s early career was as a restaurant manager.
He then moved into equipment sales national accounts, and spent almost two years as Lincat’s Group National Accounts Manager, before being appointed UK Sales Director Designate earlier in the Year.

Based in Sutton Coldfield, in the Midlands, Rob enjoys running in his spare time, competing in marathons and half-marathons. He also loves listening to music and spending time with his family.
