Lincat staff organising a Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Society
Staff at Lincat are organising a Memory Walk to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Society.
The seven-mile walk, which will take approximately two hours to complete, will start at the Lincat factory on Saturday 20th September at 10.00am. It has been arranged by Lincat team members Wendy Crookes and Denise Knott, whose mother and father, respectively, suffer from Alzheimer’s.
Lincat receptionist, Wendy, said…
“Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease which has a huge impact not only on the person affected, but on their friends and family, too. It’s also a growing problem as our population ages.
“That’s why Denise and I decided to do something positive to try to support the work of the Alzheimer’s Society. We hope that as many colleagues as possible, together with their friends and families, will join our campaign.
“We have also extended the invite to the businesses around us here on Whisby Road, and invite anyone else to join in, too. Our aim is to raise as much money as we possibly can for this worthwhile cause.”
To take part in the Memory Walk, please contact the Lincat reception by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Either Wendy or Denise will get back to you with the registration details you need. If you would like to support their efforts, without taking part, you can donate by www.justgiving.com/Lincat
