Lincat extend life of FilterFlow cartridges by 33%

Lincat, the leading British manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, has improved the performance of its FilterFlow automatic water boilers, by extending the life of their in-built filter cartridges by 33%.

The new cartridges will need to be changed every 4000 litres instead of every 3000, or every six months, whichever is reached first. This will reduce operating costs for users with no additional outlay, since the new improved filters will be offered at the same price as those they replace.

“FilterFlow automatic water boilers are amongst our most popular products and it’s easy to see why,” said Nick McDonald, Marketing Director of Lincat Ltd. “Offering a continuous supply of high quality, filtered water to improve the taste and quality of hot beverages, they are ideal for every catering establishment.”

He continued...

“As more outlets realise that a good hot drinks offer will drive food sales, we’re pleased to have been able to find a way to improve FilterFlow’s performance at no additional cost to our customers.”

FilterFlow’s built-in filter cartridge not only improves water flavour, but also prevents damaging limescale build up which can seriously damage performance over time. With a conventional boiler it is necessary to plumb a separate filter upstream of the unit. So by eliminating the need for a separate filtration unit, Lincat’s unique ‘FilterFlow’ system is also convenient, reliable and cost effective.

There are four FilterFlow models in the range, and each features comprehensive onboard diagnostics with an easy to read LCD panel.  This shows the operational status of the boiler and reminds users when to order a new filter and when exactly to change it. The filter cartridge is as easy to change as a light bulb, with no need to disconnect the water supply or seek the help of a service engineer or plumber.

Lincat Ltd manufactures one of the world’s most comprehensive ranges of catering equipment. Products are sold throughout the UK and in over 50 countries overseas through a network of international distributors. Lincat Ltd, together with its sister companies IMC Ltd and Britannia Kitchen Ventilation, form the Lincat Group plc.
