Lincat to launch Opus 700 filtration fryers
Lincat, the UK’s leading manufacturer of commercial catering equipment, has added two powerful new fryers, with built-in oil filtration, to its heavy duty Opus 700 range of prime cooking equipment.
The new fryers, which are designed to save money by extending the life of cooking oil, will be launched at Hotelympia 2008, stand no: N2131.
Capable of extending the life of cooking oil by up to 50%, the new filtration fryers are variants of the popular Opus 700 electric models - the 22 kW OE7108 and the 2x12 kW OE7113. Offering exceptional output, reliability and rapid recovery, they are priced at £3845 for the OE7108/F single tank and £3965 for the OE7113/F twin tank model.
Simple to operate, the new filtration system drains the oil from the tank through the primary filter to remove the largest particles and cooking debris. At the push of a button, the oil is then pumped through a premium carbon pad filter which can remove particles as fine as 0.5 microns (0.0005mm), before being pumped back into the tank ready for use. The whole process takes between four and six minutes for a full tank of oil.
“Cooking oil lasts longer if it is filtered on a daily basis”, said Nick McDonald, Marketing and Export Director of Lincat Ltd. “However if done manually this can be an unpleasant and even hazardous operation. Potential risks arise from the manual handling of oil, including lifting injuries, burning and slipping. Our new Opus 700 fryers, with built in oil filtration, tackle these problems head on.”
He continued…
“The filtration system is supremely easy to use and, in terms of savings on oil, can pay for itself in as little as ten months. But these fryers don’t just save money – they produce better tasting, healthier food thanks to their well filtered oil. We therefore believe our new filtration fryers will prove to be popular additions to the Opus 700 range.”
Altogether there are ten fryers in the Opus 700 range. The electric models feature hinged ‘lift-and-park’ elements and the gas models are externally fired. Both of these designs allow unobstructed access to the fryer tanks for ease of cleaning. The tanks have inclined bases and large bore drain valves to aid draining. As with all products in the Lincat Opus 700 range, the new fryers are supplied with a two-year parts and labour warranty as standard.
Overall there are more than 450 products in the Lincat range including: fryers, griddles, grills, ovens and combi steamers as well as beverage equipment, hot cupboards, trolleys and food display merchandisers. Excellent customer service is provided through Lincat’s extensive national and international dealer network.
