Lincat ovens now available in stand alone specification

Following its starring role in the recent series of "Hairy Bakers", Lincat’s V series of Silverlink 600 electric ovens can now be specified with an optional top and stand to allow them to be used as stand-alone models.

v6fdWhen the Hairy Bakers’ production team approached Lincat last year to ask if a modification could be made to the V series, Lincat was pleased to oblige. The V6/F oven met their performance needs exactly, but they wanted to use it as a stand alone unit.

Since the ovens had been originally been designed to work as part of a suite of modular Silverlink 600 equipment, carrying a suitably sized griddle, boiling top or bain marie unit, a new top and stand would be needed. Lincat’s team of design engineers set to to produce the necessary components and these are now available as standard accessories.

“Because we design and manufacture catering equipment here in the UK, we were able to respond quickly to this request”, said Nick McDonald, Marketing Director of Lincat Ltd. “We were so pleased with the results that we decided to make them available as standard accessories. And it was good to see Lincat equipment being used once again on national TV.”

There are six powerful 3kW and 4kW V series ovens to choose from, including fan assisted models. Their plain or glass fronted doors are side opening, with robust hinges and ball catch, to give safe, easy access. Each oven features a vitreous enamelled interior with radiused corners and removable side shelf for easy cleaning. All models offer four shelf positions and are supplied with two chromed rod shelves supplied as standard.

Silverlink 600 offers well-built equipment which combines flexibility and high levels of performance with style and value for money. The range includes products for both counter-top and free-standing use. All units are 600mm in depth to make optimum use of available kitchen space. Width sizes vary from a compact 300mm to as much as 900mm, depending on the product type.

Overall there are more than 450 products in the Lincat range including: fryers, griddles, grills, ovens and combi steamers as well as beverage equipment, hot cupboards, trolleys and food display merchandisers, almost all of which are manufactured at the company’s factory in Lincoln. Excellent customer service is provided through Lincat’s extensive national and international dealer network.

Lincat Ltd is part of the Lincat Group of companies. Sister companies IMC Ltd and Britannia Kitchen Ventilation Ltd operate in the commercial catering equipment sector. Lincat Group company Mercury Appliances Ltd designs and manufactures domestic cooking appliances.
