Lincat launch new Lynx 400 compact, countertop fryers

As part of its new generation of Lynx 400 electric, countertop cooking equipment, Lincat has introduced four compact and powerful fryers.

Lynx 400Designed to achieve maximum output from a minimum of space, the new Lynx 400 fryers offer performance and reliability for a low initial outlay, resulting in a rapid return on investment. Solidly built from easy to clean, high sheen Phoenix stainless steel, the new Lynx 400 fryers provide enhanced performance, reliability and value for money. Each is supplied with a cable and a 13 amp plug, so that no special installation is required.

Though they retain their original dimensions, the LDF single tank and the LDF2 twin tank general purpose fryers, have been redesigned and rebuilt. The LSF has been trimmed down to become a slim line fryer, designed for occasional or standby use and the LFF, which is ideal for the free frying of battered or breaded products and especially fish, is an entirely new model. Output capacities range from 8 kgs (11 lbs) of chilled chips per hour for the 2.5kW LSF to 21kgs (46 lbs) for the twin tank 2x3kW LDF2. The new LFF model can fry 28 x 120g portions of battered fish per hour.

Through improvements in manufacturing efficiencies, Lincat is able to pass on a 5% cost saving on the redesigned fryers.  The new lower list prices are: £195 for the LSF; £211 for the LDF and £419 for the LDF2. The LFF is priced at £319.

“Lynx 400 fryers offer superb quality at an affordable price. Built from high quality components, including accurate control thermostats, they are capable of producing perfect, fried food every time”, said Nick McDonald, Marketing and Export Director of Lincat Ltd. “Designed with the utmost care by Lincat’s expert team of engineers, Lynx 400 fryers are the right choice for operators looking for a robust, reliable product which won’t let them down. They’re also perfect for those who are not prepared to cut corners on ease of cleaning and operational safety.”

To facilitate cleaning each new fryer features a removable control head, element, tank and batter plate. Safety features include: a high limit thermostat which cuts off the electricity supply to the fryer if the control thermostat fails; an interlock which cuts off the power if the fryer head is not in place; non slip feet and power on neons. In terms of accessories, each fryer is supplied with fast draining chrome-plated wire mesh baskets and lids to protect the cooking oil when not in use.

Altogether there are 36 new products in the Lynx 400 range. In addition to fryers, the range includes: a chip scuttle, grills, contact/panini grills, griddles, bains marie, boiling tops, pasta boiler, a pizza oven and a convection oven. Each product in the range has been rigorously tested by Lincat’s development chef to ensure it performs exactly to specification. All Lynx 400 equipment is backed by a comprehensive 12 months parts and labour warranty. This is supported by a wide network of service engineers with access to a large UK stockholding of spare parts.
