Lincat add four hotplate electric range to Opus 700 series

As part of its drive to offer a choice of electric alternatives to conventional gas cooking ranges, Lincat has added a four hotplate electric range to its Opus 700 series of heavy duty prime cooking equipment.

four hotplate electric rangeFeaturing four large, high speed 2.6 kW hotplates and a fan assisted oven for uniform and consistent cooking results, the new electric range – model number OE7010 – is priced at £2762.

"For many years gas powered ranges have been at the heart of commercial kitchens in this country", said Nick McDonald, Marketing and Export Director of Lincat. "However current safety legislation requires that gas products be positioned under powered extraction canopies fitted with an interlock, which automatically cuts the gas supply in the event of a power failure."

He continued…

"These regulations can add significantly to the cost of installation. Demand, from establishments of all sizes, for electric powered alternatives is therefore growing strongly. Our two all-electric six burner ranges the Opus 700 OE7008 and the Silverlink 600 ESLR9C, are already well established. We expect our new four hotplate Opus 700 all electric range to meet the needs of those looking for a powerful, yet compact electric option."

The new OE7010 range is designed to be easy to clean with a fully pressed and sealed hob, and a vitreous enamelled oven interior with removable base. Each powerful hotplate is controlled by a six-position switch. Their generous, square design provides a large and versatile cooking area. With precise thermostatic control, the large capacity 4 kW oven has five shelf positions and three shelves. The side opening door ensures safe, easy access. A splashback/plate shelf is available as an optional extra.

Lincat’s range of over 450 different products includes no fewer than eleven oven ranges. In addition to the four and six burner electric ranges, the heavy-duty Opus 700 series includes five other oven ranges with open and solid top gas models, as well as dual fuel options. In addition to the all electric ESLR9C range there are two Silverlink 600 gas ranges: the SLR6 four-burner and the SLR9 six-burner. Designed to be safe to use and easy to clean, they offer style, strength and performance. The LMR9 six-burner gas range bridges the gap between the light/medium duty Silverlink 600 six-burner range and the heavy duty Opus 700 model.
